Cadillac XT6

Street Spirit

The Cadillac XT6 was the final program I contributed to during my time at General Motors, and it represented an exciting culmination of my experience in luxury automotive design. As Cadillac’s first three-row SUV positioned below the Escalade, the XT6 was developed to meet the evolving needs of modern families—offering generous space, refined design, and elevated performance in a more approachable package.

Often described as “improbably spacious, impressively stylish, and effortlessly capable,” the XT6 filled a key gap in Cadillac’s SUV lineup. It built upon the design language of the successful XT5 while introducing a more dynamic and family-oriented approach to luxury. My involvement focused on the development and coordination of interior materials, ensuring the cabin delivered a premium sensory experience aligned with Cadillac’s brand values. From textile selection to color harmonization, I worked to craft an interior environment that balanced warmth, sophistication, and durability—ideal for everyday use without compromising on luxury.

The XT6 was well-received for its quiet ride, intuitive infotainment system, and upscale interior appointments, especially in higher trims. It was praised by reviewers and drivers alike for bringing Escalade-level presence and comfort to a new category of customer. Contributing to this program allowed me to apply my material expertise to a vehicle that embodies thoughtful design for real-world living—where aesthetics, functionality, and brand heritage converge.
